Year 5 Solar Systems
As part of our Year 5 home learning, the children have made their own representation of the Solar System. We were amazed at the creativity of the final products which included woodwork, lego models and even working light bulbs!
Year 5 Mars Rover Challenge
Year 5 were inspired by the IPC topic ’Mission to Mars’ to design and make prototype Mars Rovers considering what we know about the conditions on this planet. We learnt how to measure and cut wood accurately using a saw and build an electrical circuit to power our vehicle. To complete our design process, we evaluted the success of our final product by testing them on different terrains which may appear on Mars.
